Maverick was the 8th state in the Angel's Republic. Its capital is in the pre-war capital of California, Sacramento. Sacramento is also the former capital of the short-lived California and Nevada Trade Agreement, and as such is a sprawling trade center. Also in Maverick lies a huge portion of the fertile Central Valley.
