New Cambridge is a nation located in what was once Boston, Massachusetts, mostly Cambridge. Formed by intellectuals from Boston's various universities, some of the post-war world's greatest minds reside in this settlement.

New Cambridge's system of government is best comparable to a federal republic. The leader of the republic is known as the Dean. The nation is divided into four different districts, known as campuses: Harvard University, MIT, Tufts University, and Boston University. Each campus is led by a Headmaster. Each campus has its own Conference, consisting of the campus' "certified professors". The members of each Conference are also members of the National Conference, which makes decisions for the whole of New Cambridge and elects the Dean.
